A world-known chemical retailer required domestic “Less than truck load” service in China to deliver their products across the country from their Tianjin and Guangzhou warehouses (nearly 400 shipping address). The customer was confronted with the following difficulties:

Large number of consignee involved in each truck load, resulting a huge amount of time and resources required to provide advance arrival notice and arrival confirmation

Difficulty keeping track and provide status of goods in transit and consignee enquiries
Service Solution:
Based on the customer’s requirements, OOCL Logistics deployed a custom-made system module enabling our customer to share information more efficiently:

SMS function: Once an order is created, the consignee is sent an arrival notice text message to inform of the estimated time of delivery. After each delivery, another arrival confirmation text message is sent to the consignee as confirmation.

Domestic Service Tracking: The consignee can make use of our web site to keep track of their consignment’s status by providing the order number.
