Europe Direct Intermodal
Chinese President Xi Jinping launched exceptional new project at the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting on 11th Nov 2014: The New Silk Road Initiative called "One Belt, One Road." The initiative is expected to not only boost the economy of China but also to help link up the countries along the former “Silk Road” as more and more railroads are connected with well rounded services supporting the movement of cargo across Asia, Middle East, Africa, and to Europe.

Europe, Russia and China are physically connected so there are increasing opportunities for rail transport to carry cargo overland westward providing flexibility and economical transport from Asia. OOCL Logistics has already partnered with rail services providers to serve the growing needs for rail services within Eurasia as outlined below.

Reliability and Efficiency

Rail services depart from Chongqing, Zhengzhou and Wuhan in China and provide the most punctual services to both Duisburg and Hamburg Germany. Customs transfers usually take around 1-2 days and the total transit and clearance waiting time is less than 20 days.

Safety and Security

The use of single load units also ensures greater security and safety for your cargo. As the ocean container loading unit is compatible with all modes of transportation, and is the single unit used the length of the shipment, your products remain locked and sealed the entire length of the journey until reaching the final destination.

Value Added Services

In addition to these intermodal services, OOCL Logistics offers a wide range of additional services that add value along the supply chain from origin to final destination.
  • Cross docking
  • Customs house brokerage
  • Domestic transportation
  • Cargo insurance
